One Step Closer To Community

Community: a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitude, interests, and goals.

I believe God wants us in community.  
In the Bible and in the book of Ecclesiastes 4:10 it reads “For If they fall, the one will lift up his fellow.  But woe to him that is alone when he falleth, for he hath not another to help him up”
 
Life comes with trails and triumphs for all of us.  When you think think of celebrations, what do you picture first?  For me, I see a full room and I feel high energy. 
When you think of trials, what comes to mind?  For me, I have often thought of loneliness.  But really, those times we need to be surrounded by our people.  We need the lifting more than ever.  
And it’s what God wants for our life too.  A strong community, a strong support system. 
 
I want to leave you with one action step you can take this week to nurture a relationship or work towards joining or strengthening community in your own life.  And that one action step is really so simple, make a move.  Just make one move.  That could like like a DM on social media.  A phone call or text. Or maybe you have access to a community group and it’s a matter of showing up.  
 
Don’t let time trick your mind.  It’s not a concrete barrier to break through.  
Make one simple move this week.  If fear is creeping in, invite Christ to walk with you - we are meant to have friends, connections and deep relationships.
